Carrie Underwood is Smokin' at the 2008 American Idol Finale
May 21, 2008
Fresh from her second straight win at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards last Sunday, Carrie Underwood's performance at tonight's two hour American Idol Finale was smokin' hot.
Carrie performed her latest hit from the Carnival Ride album, "Last Name" to a packed house at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Dressed in an off white tuxedo jacket and the tiniest of skirts, Carrie rocked the house, reminding us exactly why she was awarded the title in 2005 and why she continues to dominate the country music industry.
Great things happen to great people. This week Carrie was voted the most popular American Idol winner in a poll released by AOL Television. Carrie recieved 54 percent of the vote, followed by Kelly Clarkson with 26 percent. Way to go Carrie! Keep up the great work!

Carrie Underwood Wins Top Female Vocalist in 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards
May 19, 2008
Carrie Underwood won the award for top female vocalist at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday. I'm not surprised, she began the show with "Last Name" which happens to be one of her hit singles at the moment.
Carrie wore a lovely pink gown that went to her calf and had a painted flower on the skirt. But her silver heels were to die for. Wow, look at them sparkle, this is one lady that knows how to dress for the occasion.
When receiving her award she said, "Wow. God is good. I know I don't deserve it, but I'll take it! Fans got me everything that I have, and I owe everything to you."
I'm so happy to see her getting this award, but this wasn't the only award she received. This past week she was inducted into teh Grand Ole Opry, which is an honor for any Country Singer. But she's also been voted the "Most Popular Idol," for those that don't remember, Carrie appeared on American Idol back in 2005. Carrie is just getting started and we'll be seeing a lot more of her in years to come.
Carrie Goes to the Opry March 22, 2008
Carrie Underwood is headed for the Grand Ole Opry… and she's happy to report that she's there to stay! That's right… she was recently invited to become a member. You can probably guess that she accepted the invite, without a second thought.
She learned about the honor from Randy Travis, whose 1988 Billboard hit 'I Told You So' happens to be part of HER most recent album Carnival Ride. He surprised her on stage, at a recent concert, and popped the question.
Her Opry debut was June 10th, 2005… just two short weeks after her American Idol win. She will be inducted May 10th. What a whirlwind three years it has been.
Carrie Underwood parties with Chace Crawford! December 15, 2007
So, are the two together or not?? Judging by their actions at the fourth anniversary party for celeb-friendly NYC hot spot Marquee, there's really something between Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford. According to OK!, the two only had eyes for each other, sneaked in a bunch of kisses and cozied up next to each other all night long. A witness reveals, "They certainly didn't care who was gossiping about it!" Carrie Underwood and the Gossip Girl actor stayed at Marquee until about 2 a.m., though they only made their way to the dance floor once. The American Idol singer is only in town until Saturday and friends of Chace reveal to OK! that the lovebirds plan on spending some quiet time together. "They'll probably just have a night with just the two of them," the friend says about the couple's plans for the rest of the weekend. Oooh, we smell serious romance here! When will you confirm it Carrie Underwood??
Carrie Underwood heartbroken again December 3, 2007
For some reason, the beautiful, classy and uber-talented American Idol chanteuse is always down in luck with her love life. According to latest reports, Carrie Underwood is once again heartbroken. After being with Tony Romo who couldn't commit to her, she hooked up with the dashing Chace Crawford of Gossip Girls. Unfortunately for Carrie Underwood, Chace is just like Tony, never the guy who'll stick to one girl. Reportedly, Chace was still seeing his co-star Leighton Meester from Gossip Girls despite dating the singer. According to a Star Magazine source, "He was getting together [with Leighton] even before he met Carrie, and it hasn't stopped. They hang out together on the set and in his trailer." Meanwhile, the New York Post reports that they spotted the co-stars smooching. "Wednesday night at Beatrice Inn locking lips with his co-star, Leighton Meister - and it wasn't for the show," reports the Page Six Gossip column of the paper. So what's a country girl like Carrie Underwood got to do?? She should quit it dating these Hollywood types and find herself a loyal country boy back home!
Carrie Underwood wins BIG! November 20, 2007
Less than a month after her sweet victory in the Country Music Awards, Carrie Underwood once again dominated the music scene in the recently concluded American Music Awards. The gorgeous singer won three awards (!!!) along with fellow "American Idol" former finalist Chris Daughtry who also got three. That just shows that AI alumni definitely have talent, whether they won or not. Anyway, Carrie Underwood was dressed in a very sexy white mini-dress with a tantalizing neckline. Still classy like her gold CMA gown, but this time, she shows she's all woman underneath all that singing prowess. Witwiw! As for the awards, Carrie Underwood accepted the Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album in the country category for Some Hearts and a special T-Mobile text-in award. Says the AI Season Four champion, "Thank you, fans, for going out and buying this album. You guys are amazing. This is one heck of a night." And your one heck of a talented woman Carrie! Rock on!

But, as noted by the media, the chanteuse remains humble despite all her success. She told the press, “God has blessed me with so many wonderful things. If you told me a few years ago I had been nominated with the people I’m nominated with, I would have called you absolutely insane.” Lol! The next day, Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford had a romantic dinner at Mario Batali's Del Posto restaurant and later had a few drinks at Soho Grand. A source reveals that the lovebirds “held court at their own private table, kissing and not leaving each other's side”. Later the two wrapped up their magical night at the celeb-fave Rose Bar in the Gramercy Park Hotel. One of Carrie’s friend relates that “Chace is much better [versus Tony Romo] for her. He's a lot more interesting. He's on a hit show…” The friend also adds that their budding romance is exciting because “Chace has such an edgy, almost bad boy image on the show and Carrie has such a good girl image, together they're just hot.”
